Mood Board – Good Night Mr. Fox
So, out with the owl and in with the….fox? Maybe the characters of the Gruffalo are each making appearances? All I know is, Im loving the this foxy theme going on. Completely gender neutral with autumnal colours featuring such as oranges, browns and electric blues. The basis of this can be prepared well before baby is born with the finishing touches added after the “arrival” if you fancy making a more boyish/girly feel to the room. Easily a theme that can be kept until well into the toddler years.
Heck, I could live with this woodland creature myself!! Now, where did I leave my wax jacket?!?
So, what do you think?
I love this theme, brilliant colours and love that its gender neutral. Would be great for sharing siblings.
Thanks Bernice, ya absolutely ideal for boy/girl shared bedroom! Might put this into practice some day 🙂
Oh this is gorgeous! The colours are just fab, wish I’d a room to start again on. I did get to put together my 2 boys room recently but had to work with what we already had, and wow, it’s a riot of colour.
I have that chair in the same fabric in cerise and its so comfy for reading stories, feeding baby etc.
Thanks Jill, I love that blue and orange combo…full of zang! Must put a blog together of your new room? (ahem, hint hint) I know…I soooo want that chair, and numerous cover changes, so funky!
I love this Eimear. The colours are so refreshing from the usual pinks, blues or beiges for children’s rooms. I think this would take your children from babies right up to 6 or 7. Really lovely.
Totally! I reckon by changing just little aspects like the stuffed animals you might even get a little longer. Stylishly frugal 😉
Beautiful.
Thanks Joanna, look like the mood boards are turning out to be a good idea, what would people like to see next I wonder?
Oh I love this! I love anything woodland and yes it would be a great idea for a shared room. I will have two sharing but it is a riot of pink now so needs to be overhauled 😉
I would love to see more mood boards for neutral colours and woodland creatures. I especially love the fact that you can buy everything in the pics so readily in easily accessible shops, not fancy onlne designer stores!
Thanks Karen. I know, everything in shops is character related (Disney etc) its nice to take a fresh approach. Oh I could easily do 100’s of mood boards of Pottery Barn stuff but kinda defeats the point. I want Irish parents to be able to create these rooms using products that can be bought locally or at least online here that would cut down on shipping costs. Are you looking to paint your kids room a neutral colour and inject colour through soft furnishings etc?
The room is currently primrose yellow with lots of pink accessories so at least it will be easy to make changes. There will always be some pink though so finding boy/neutral colours that sit nicely alongside it can be hard-a lot of boy/girl combos leave out pink but it is inevitably a feature of a little girl’s room!
